Sounds like you made some nice progress. Do you have any pics of the setup? How can you tell the video is faster, did you run some benchmarks?

hmm, pics! the poor old thing is spread all over the bench currently. Yes, I ran one of the benchmark tools. This was all a few months ago, I'll have to go back and dig but from memory the tool used an early 040 as standard.
CPU and FPU specs are lower as you would expect without the later speeds and cache architecture, but video is actually slightly above.
Because the radius color pivot card is PDS030 direct and runs at bus speed, it's significantly faster than the nubus based systems..
Playing warcraft for example is a delight!

Haha, it's ok if it's spread out. It would be cool to see the logic board mods you did, even if it's a bit rough. Interesting comment on the video card, do you think that would apply to any PDS video card?
