Good morning, everyone,
A friendly greeting from France.:D
That's my problem:
I have a Mac se with floppy 400k and 20M hard drive. I want to communicate in Appletalk with a PC using a raspberry as bridge to use ethernet . Does anyone know of such an assembly? If not, what can you advise me?
Thank you in advance
Paul
I am running AppleShares and ApplePrinter fully supported using BasiliskII on a OS X Mac Sierra.
A real old Macintosh SE/30 is also connected and files can be shared.
Just like KnuddlMac say : first, install A2server on the Raspberry Pi.
Connect the Raspberry Pi to Ethernet, not Wi-Fi, because many Wi-Fi access point don't like Apple Talk.
On the Mac side, you can use an Ethernet card on the Mac SE or juste use an Ethernet bridge (Localtak to Ethernet). You can find things like that on eBay or LeBonCoin (Farallon, Asante, etc.).
When it's done, the chooser (Sélecteur) on the Mac SE will see the Raspberry Pi, and a PC can see the files too.
